The Storm
A massive wooden fishing boat sat upon the Caribbean sea. The ocean was a pretty teal colour and it was as clear a glass, seaweed and kelp flowed in sync to the waves, schools of fish swam quickly, the sky was so blue and not a single cloud in sight.
The weather forecast said it would be sunny all throughout the day so now was a good time to be out on the water. The only people on this boat we're siblings. A 15 year old called Jackson and his older sister Alana. Their mother was struck with a sickness and this was the only job that could pay enough. They had to work through storms and scorching heat. Everything was fine, the sky was still blue and still cloudless. The ocean danced delicately until it was swept into the boat. Everything was fine until a couple minutes later.
Clouds began to surround the sky. The sky turned from bright blue to a pale grey. The ocean turned murky and gross looking. And then it started to spit. It went from spitting to raining to downright pouring. Thunder boomed, “Argh!” The siblings both jumped at the sound. They started to rise and shake and the wind howled violently. “What the hell is going on!?” Jackson screamed trying to fight over the wind. Alana grabbed onto the side of the boat, hugging it tightly. While her brother did the same. She squinted her eyes hoping this would end as the storm raged on.
How will we ever get out of this?

My Possible Actions
We have been learning about climate change and the effects it has in our oceans and forests. We had also learnt how to reduce power and water to help slow down the impact. We also had to think about ways to conserve power and water.
-Turn off the lights when your not in the room, and teach your family members to do the same.
-Lower the amount of time and water you use to have a shower. And don't leave the tap on so it doesn't waste water and flood your house.
-Reduce your catch and only take what you need so they can repopulate.
-Don't take the smaller fish, so they can grow bigger.
-We can use public transport or if you don't have that in your area use bikes if the place is nearby.
-You can also recycle so it doesn't go into landfills.
-When your buying furniture think wisely just buy things that can be easily grown back and what they're made of isn't going near extinction.

Disapear
The world was going crazy. It was chaos. People we're trying to find out what was happening. Prized Possessions, Kids, Parents, that weirdo on your street, went missing. People we're crying, screaming as if that was going to bring them back. And then there were people that we're fine with this, they 're a bit crazy though. And then there we're the crackheads that thought this the work of a purple fictional villain with a magical gauntlet with rocks in it.
It had been weeks since the first disappearance. Scientists and Paranormal Experts had no idea what was going on. Was it just going to go on till there was no one left on Earth? What happened to the people that disappeared? We're they OK? I don’t know… In my household there was no one but me (Age: 14) and my dog, a golden retriever called Socks. He was usually an ecstatic dog but he wasn’t himself. It was depressing to see him sit by a massive window and stare at the city during this chaos. “Knock! Knock!” Someone was at the door. She walked over to the brown door and tugged at the doorknob. There stood a person that was at least 12 feet high. There were a couple people behind him not as tall but still an astonishing 9 feet high. There we're all different colours. Some were as blue as the sky. While others we're purple, green, and yellow. They all had patterns on their faces; the tallest one had an emblem imprinted onto his forehead while the others just had a line smudged on their foreheads. They were wearing a sort of ragged uniform with a weird logo on it, most of them had pouches hanging from their waists. They looked like something out of comic books.
“We're looking for subject 079-7300. Have you seen him? He’s at least 7 and a half feet high. Black scrawny hair, and scars on his hands.”
“Huh that’s funny he sounds a lot like my dad…”

Multiples and Factors
Multiples are numbers that can be divided by another number a certain amount of times without a remainder. While on the other hand a factor is a number divided with another or multiple numbers that divides a number without remainders.
Today for Maths we were given a few questions. The questions were one of those guess the numbers and they gave you a few hints. I struggled with the last 2. There were 5 overall.

The Fox
The Fox
WALT: Write a narrative story
Everyone in this small town knows the story of the girl whose parents went missing, it's not a day I like to remember. It was I think June the 9th when my parents were taken, this happened 2 years ago. I was 12 I was naive. I now live with my aunt, she owns a mansion, it’s massive. She’s very strict though.
It was just daybreak. I decided to get ready before she would yell at me to be more “productive”. I tied my dark hair up. And looked at myself in the mirror. “Do you miss your parents?” The voice was almost serpent like. I scanned the room. No one was there. “I could tell you...but it’ll cost you…” “Who’s there!” “Just someone that knows something…” This serpent voice was good at persuading I can tell you that but I must continue on with my day.
I should get away for the day. Trees shot up to the sky; they were tall oak trees. Birds fluttered in every direction singing high pitched songs. It was nice being away from the mansion and the voi- “Missed me much?” This person wouldn’t leave me alone. This person was starting to agitate me. It was scary how he could follow me everywhere and how, just how did he get into the mansion. “Scurry.” Something was running through the bushes. I was scared, I was terrified. I looked back to where the noises were coming from and there stood a fox, there was something off about the fox though. Normal foxes would run from people. This one stood there staring at me. “Um.. Miss. I think I know some things that you might want to know.” A fox was talking to me. Um. So I did something that most people would do. I screamed at it. “ARGH!” “It’s ok, I must assure you that I’m not a troublemaker.” “Umm.. Ok. I’ve never met a talking fox before so umm..” “Is it a yes or no, miss.” “Umm.. Alright…” This peculiar fox then trotted off into the forest. I stood there not knowing what to. “Are you coming?” I ran and followed his voice. This fox could not be the voices I hear, his voice wasn’t at all like a serpent but he sounded like a little gentleman. I don’t know how a fox got a voice like that or how he got a voice at all but no matter now, I need to find this information that this fox knows.
I followed him until we reached what looked like an abandoned house.
This looks like a place I could get a few answers from.
Kylahs Feedback: You story was great and had a lot of describing words.
We had to make a short narrative, it had to at least have a fox in it. We then had to get someone to read through it to make sure it actually make sense. I had a lot of fun writing this I like writing stories especially narritives.

Instructions: Order these decimals from smallest to largest. Write the answers in the back of your maths book. I think i did well in this activity. I think I could improve on harder decimals to order. There were 14 questions and 3 in each one to order from smallest to largest.

Camouflage: Snow Leopard
Jamal and PJ's Trip to Titania
Jamal had always wanted to go to space since he was 7, and 14 years later he was finally about to make his dreams become reality. He had finally finished preparing his spacecraft and he was taking his German Shepherd, PJ! Jamal was one of the NASA space researchers that were working on a project to find out if Titania was habitable. He then volunteered to go and find out since he already had his spacecraft ready so if somehow the earth turns out to be inhabitable they’d have another place to go to. He was then ready and all geared up and so was PJ, NASA made a space suit that was fit for PJ so that he could go to and not run out of oxygen. NASA tried to persuade Jamal to take one of their rocket ships because Jamals one was untested. But he denied their offer.
He then started to board his spacecraft and called to his hound, who trotted into the rocket.
He pushed a button and it initiated countdown, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, BLAST OFF!
3 hours later…
He was suddenly so close to Titania, but then something went wrong… “CRASH!” They crashed onto the surface. He got himself and PJ out of there. Just as he watched the rocket ship blow up because of fire hazard stuff. “That was close wasn’t it PJ?” He wasn’t there. He had got that scared of the explosion that he ran off. “PJ! PJ! WHERE ARE YOU!” He started to lose hope. He looked at his oxygen levels. 42%! He needed to find his dog fast. He walked around until he saw a pile and heard something moving, something not human or a lost dog. It sounded like metal and wood. He ran to the pile and found PJ walking on the wood and metal. “WOOF! He looked happy to see him. Jamal had an idea.
“Ready PJ?” “WOOF!” They hopped in the cart and just like that they we're back on Earth but there was one problem.. “Where Are we?”

Goal Setting Term One
1. To work on multiplying and dividing decimals (Stretch Goal) Find out the best way possible to find the answer. Get someone to write or ask questions about the topic and see how many I can get right. I would try and get at least 20min.
2. Build more of a complex vocab (Stretch Goal) Use references ( People that have a better writing skill than me) and try and get ideas for vocab for a type of story. I would try maybe every 2nd week.
3. To be better in my descriptive writing (Strength Goal) I would try and write in my spare time and use references to gain different ideas to use in my writing. I would use 30 minutes at least every second week.
4. Be able to draw more realistically (Home Goal) Give more time to my art in my free time and use references to get better in drawing different body parts.
