The First Person To Discover An Element

The first person to discover an element was Albert Ghiorso et. al. in 1952 the element's called Fermium. The Fermium element is only found in small quantities and so it's only used for scientific research that expands the knowledge of the periodic table. Fermium is a man-made element and was first discovered when in secret exploding a hydrogen bomb, it is categorised as an actinide metal.

Summer Learning Journal Activity 3 Scaling New Heights

SPCA New Zealand

The SPCA helps and cares for over 40,000 animals in New Zealand. 

Animals who are sick, injured, abused or abandoned are cared by the SPCA.

They care for the animals who need it and when they are cured and much better they are put up for adoption and for the wild animals like national birds or animals such as the kiwi, they are put back into the wild where they belong.

The SPCA does things such as Prevent Cruelty, Educate and Engage, Animal Rescue, Rehabilitate, Shelter, Re-home, Reunite and Seek Justice. I personally think they should be thanked because they take care of injured and your pets and even wildlife. People who hurt or abandon there pets the SPCA can prosecute the case through the courts to enable justice for the animal.

These people who contribute to the SPCA do a lot without us even acknowledging it and they hardly even get government funds. It's people who put there time and effort to give that help to the SPCA.

How to Make a Bento

How to Make a Bento Box

First, you get a bento box with separate compartments or none. Next, add rice or something else like noodles. And Then,  add some protein like meat or fish, or you could instead of meat used tofu or something like that. Eventually, add vegetables or fruit, use a cookie cutter to make the fruit or vegetables into stars or hearts. And Then, you can decorate or make the ingredients you used to make them into characters using rice and nori (The term for seaweed in Japan) and make background items like stars and hearts and use lettuce and other ingredients to make the background. And Finally, YOU EAT IT!

The Race

Alexis walked up to the starting line getting prepared to run the 200m race. Sure she might be the fastest girl in her class but this was EASTERN ZONE all the other schools in the region we're competing. All the other girls looked quite older than her and she became quite ANXIOUS… She wanted to be in the ‘Top 3’ so bad. The person who was in charge of the race called out “ON YOUR MARK!” The racers, as well as Alexis, stepped forward so that their foot was just touching the starting line. He waited a few seconds and said: “GET SET!” The racers got prepared to run. He waited for what seemed like 1.0 seconds and finally said: “GO!” The racers started running and they all stayed in their lane except 1 person. It was a girl in a different school the girl was edging towards Alexis’s lane but Alexis wasn’t watching she was focusing on the path that lay in front of her. This unknown girl tripped Alexis over and the rest of the racers ran off like a flock of sheep. Alexis got up and persuaded her self to gather up the courage to carry on, dusting off the dirt and grass of her knees and arms she started sprinting as she was halfway there. At her own pace, she made her way past everyone. And was heading towards the finish line. ALMOST THERE. She ran for what felt like another 100m. She kept on running until she finally reached the finish line. She was feeling exhausted, proud and a little frustrated that another girl purposedly tripped her over, but she tried her hardest and that’s all that mattered.

Black Panther is a marvel superhero, from a non-realistic country
by the name of Wakanda. He’s the prince of that country. It’s his
responsibility to take care of people who live in Wakanda.
Wakandans mine this fictional metal called Vibranium. Vibranium
is what they use to make technology such as his suit which is
made out of it. Black Panther is my favourite superhero.

The Patronus Charm is difficult to produce, and many witches and wizards struggle to produce a full Patronus: a guardian which generally takes the form of the animal with whom they share the deepest affinity. For Severus Snape, however, a wizard trained and experienced in the Dark Arts, it was easy.

He felt a slight tingle from the end of his wand as he swished it in a smooth, subtle arc. A jet of flawless, pale-white light danced from its tip, and the Patronus began to take form in front of him… 

It simply took in form of a doe it ran circles around him and then ran to find Harry. Harry saw the magical doe and ran off to see where it goes he ran past a long hedge of pine trees and had found himself in a snow-covered valley with a freezing deep pool at the bottom of the pool he saw something ruby red and silver glistening at the bottom of the pool. “The sword of GRYFFINDOR !?” He knew he had to get somehow.

He pulled out his wand and mumbled something, the ice suddenly broke so there was space for Harry to get in. He felt the icy cold water. He quickly pulled his hand out. He closed his eyes and then slid in carefully. The Horcrux still on his neck pulled his head underwater and started to swim, the faster he gets the sword the faster he can get out. He was near the bottom till the chain of the Horcrux started tightening. He finally got the sword, and that’s when the locket was so tight he was about to suffocate. He quickly pulled out his wand and mumbled a spell and with that, the Horcrux simply fell from his neck. He then found himself on the snowy floor, and to his surprise, Ron was kneeling there panting. “I saw your Patronus well I thought it was, I had followed it and found this place and you fainted so I.. rescued you.”

Survive Till Dawn Part 2

He turned around JUST in time to narrowly dodge his attack.
Nightmare Fredbear got back up and decided to slip under his
bed without no notice except for a giant noise that went like…
”CLANK!!!” The terrified child decided to look around for where
the giant noise belonged to but he saw nothing… A weird noise
came from the ceiling. Without any anticipation, black and white
tentacles came from that hole in the ceiling. And it wasn’t even
a minute till we met with the tentacles face… She slowly came
down, preparing for a jumpscare but before she pounced he
was gone like a speed of lightning,

he was gone. Never in his life has he experienced something like this unless… You counted the incident with fredbear… But now the nightmare version was coming to… Uhh, kill me… What did I do??? If it wasn’t for my brother, father, sister, mother and ME… Why can’t I just have a normal life? Without any animatronics… I guess I’m going to join my animatronic-like family soon… He thought. He checked the clock in his room. Hmm… It says 4:00 am just a few more hours… He checked the hall. “ARGHH!” Nightmare Fredbear was just at the door as well as the other animatronics!!! “O-Oh No!” He needed to run! He slid under Nightmare Fredbear. And started running as there was no tomorrow. There might not even be a tomorrow! He dodged Nightmare Chica with her terrifying scream of a jumpscare. The minutes flew by like seconds but he was still in danger, the animatronics circled him there was nowhere to run! Hang on a minute… FLASHLIGHT! He got the flashlight and shone it upon the animatronics who circled him from Nightmarrione to Nightmare Foxy and Mangle and the others. They all disappeared and he ran till he met a dead-end in the house. He felt like he didn’t even know his own house anymore where he grew up, his whole life just gone, all those memories and years just gone… He looked behind him to see Nightmare Fredbear so the crying child took out his flashlight and tried to turn it on. JUST GREAT THE BATTERIES DEAD! Nightmare Fredbear took off his hat to him. Put it back on his head and then… “SCREEEEEAAMMM!!!” 

6:00 am

He was gone, killed by the Nightmare version of Fredbear who

gave him a 7-day coma. Apparently, it wasn’t Nightmare

Fredbears or the other animatronics fault it was in the coding

sadly, and now everyone was thinking that there the monsters

from the bite of 87 and 83 to the murders of the night-guards,

and all that. But since it was in there coding they slid the body

of the crying child into the Puppet animatronic suit. And now

just like his family, his soul was possessed to an animatronic

suit. His life is way different now much changed and much

easier as the life of an animatronic is very simple get ready to

perform be 6:00 am and then perform till at least 12:00 pm

when everybody has left and then go stalk the nightguard.

The crying child actually kinda looks like the puppet.

And now he has finally reunited with his family.

FNAF NIGHTMARE TALE: Nightmare Or Reality

Protologue:

A few years ago, there was a pizzeria called Fredbears Diner it
was an entertainment area for children alike, although most
children enjoyed the animatronics Fredbear and Spring-Bonnie
and the diner itself, 1 child had bad feelings about the place.
His name is Norman Afton his older brother Micheal Afton and
his sister Elizabeth Afton. It was his Birthday and his family
decided to take him to the diner. His brother said, “I got a
surprise for you, let me go get it!” He goes up to the back and
grabs Norman. “HAPPY BIRTHDAY!” He goes over to
Fredbear and stuffs him into the mouth of Fredbear,
Fredbear suddenly malfunctions shutting his mouth on Norman.
He gets into a coma… That wasn’t the only terrible thing that
happened, a couple of years after there were the 5 missing
children. This is another story relating to this boy…

After 7 days which was how long he had been in a coma for…
He had just woke up from the coma, his father had become
distant leaving Micheal in charge which was already as bad
enough as Micheal had already been bullying him and pranking
him but as the Fredbear Prank, it had got out of hand badly.
His mother died in a spring lock failure and is now known as
Ballora a humanoid robot which looks like a ballerina.
His father turned into Springtrap and his sister and his brother
Micheal was sent to the facility to find her sister by his dad’s
orders to finally overcome the truth… And so the so-called
Crying Child was left alone in the house that’s when the
nightmares started. He saw death and pain the animatronics
coming alive and we're in his house. And the worst of it was
that there was an animatronic that looked like a nightmare
of his plush Fredbear. ( 1 month later…)
I’ve had enough of these nightmares thought Norman.
(That Night later…) “ARGHHH!” Screamed the ‘Crying Child.
’ *Loud Stomping Noise* “What's That! IS SOMEONE THERE!!!”
*Loud Stomping Noise again* He gets up and grabs
his flashlight and walks around. He shines it at the door.
Nothing. He shines it at his wardrobe. Somethings
There… He shines it again.
“ARGHHH!” A
nightmarish fox stood there. IN HIS WARDROBE!
He instantly shut the door on him.
He was the most frightened in his life.
His house was invaded by animatronics…
His life was in danger!!!
He was very sure that there were more like in his nightmare.
WAIT!!! IS THIS A NIGHTMARE OR REALITY…
I think this is a dream he thought.
WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP!
He tried to wake up his already woken up self.
OHHHH NOOO this has to be a dream.
OHHH NOOOO the animatronics are alive.
OHHH NOOO I think ones opening the door to my bedroom.
He shone his flashlight and there was a chicken relating to
Chica but just like Nightmare Foxy, she was nightmarish.
The Crying Child shone the light on the nightmare chica.
She disappeared… Weird they must be scared of the light.
Which means I’VE GOT TO SURVIVE TILL 6:00 am!!!
But that’s at least 6 hours away… OH GOD!
Why does it always have to be me???
He thought. First, my brother stuffs me into Fredbears mouth
and I get into a coma for 7 days, Then my mother gets into a
spring lock failure, then my dad turns psycho and murders
5 children. Then my dad gets into a suit the spring locks tighten
and he is renowned as Springtrap. My Sister gets taken by the
animatronic called ‘Circus Baby’ in an animatronic
malfunctioning.  But while he was thinking away Nightmare
Fredbear showed up ready to pounce.

A non-renewable resource is something that cannot be replaced such as coal or oil we
use as energy such as renewable ones such as wind or solar power is not developed.

3  Why can’t we just burn plastic bags?

If we burnt plastic bags it will release poisonous gas and pollution which causes
Global Warming will make the ice melt and make the sea rise.

4  What is the meaning of ‘photodegradable’?

Photodegradable means such as plastic will slowly break down into smaller pieces with
the help of sunlight.

5  Use the information on the fact page to work out how many plastic bags New Zealanders
use in 1 week.

So 15x4=60+45=105 the average Newland Family use 105 plastic bags each week.

Climate change has a very big impact on the weather and other stuff. Climate change was caused by Fossil fuels we use in transportation and other things. Climate change is also caused by human activity. Climate change is causing floods. Sea levels are rising 4 millimetres per year. In 2010 and 2011 an unusual weather pattern came upon those 2 years instead of the rain falling into the oceans it instead fell upon Australia, causing quite big floods but since Australia’s weather is so dry it soaked it up. Ever since that the water has slowly been evaporating. If sea levels keep rising we have more chance of flooding and Tsunamis.

My Trip To The Gold Coast

On Wednesday I, my 2 sisters and my mum left for Auckland to
catch the plane to go to the Gold Coast where we, we're going
to meet my Dad who has already stayed there for 1 night. After
a couple of hours of boredom, we FINALLY got there to a really
flash resort. While I was there I saw my cousins who I haven’t
seen in a couple of years. I and my cousin Aaliyah went to
Movie World twice as my other cousin Rakaia only went to
Movie world once with us. The rides we went on we're the
‘Green Lantern Roller Coaster’, ‘The Scooby-Doo Roller
Coaster’, ‘The Bat-Man Batwing SpaceShot’ and the
‘Canyon Falls Log Ride’.

FNAF Tale Part 2: Die In A Fire

Previously the now know Spring Trap AKA William Afton AKA Purple Guy, the mass murderer was on the loose but permanently stuck in an animatronic suit… He was feeling infuriated that karma had finally caught up to him, for killing those 5 children.  But the bad thing being stuck in that Springtrap suit is that the spring locks tightened and his body was mauled by the suit. He was planning an act of bloody revenge… Watching the animatronics quietly stalk the new nightguard would bring out the worst of him. He would climb in the vent to watch what their behaviour was like in the day compared to the night, and there was a monstrous difference. He would go to a dark part of the pizzeria like the old warehouse and would decay in the darkness. (4 days later…) Springtrap felt an urge of murder surge through his veins. He crawled through the vents into the office at 6:00 am when the nightguards shift would be over and found a lighter. “ Why is there a lighter?” A curious murderer of a rabbit told himself. He felt the urge to murder again. “I know what to do!” Bellowed Springtrap. “What are you going to do?” Asked Phantom Balloon Boy or for short BB. “Dammit.” Muttered Springtrap. (BB laughs and joins his sister JJ.) At 6:00 am when the nightguard left. Springtrap got his lighter and scratched at the rules paper and lighted a flame on to the paper and dropped the burning paper on to the black and white tiles. It only took 30 seconds for the left hall to be engulfed in flames. But the only thing is that the animatronics are quite slow though. Molten Freddy was right behind them until the fire caught up to him all the animatronics were burnt to the ground except for him. He managed to get out. How many times did he have to die and get rebuilt? But he needed scraps so he stole them from the pizzeria bin that was full of scraps. He managed to get far enough away from the pizzeria that was still engulfed in flames and was burnt to the ground. The fire department came and managed to take the fire out. The fire was in all the newspapers across town with the headlines of ‘IT BURNS! Fazbear’s Fright burns to the ground!’ But the murderous rabbit was renamed to ‘Afton’. What will Afton do now???

The population of tigers is setting a huge impact on what the numbers of tigers were 4 years ago, In 2011 the population of tigers were 1,706 and in 2,226 in 2014. India’s environment minister said it was excellent that the efforts of helping the tigers were excellent and that the numbers of tigers were improving greatly.

Ruma Koromiko was planning a garden the students learnt about bees and that the population was dropping.

2  What are two (or more),  of the benefits mentioned about having a beehive at school?

They would have bees in the school garden and they would have honey for themselves.

3  What do you think the words ‘ongoing costs’ mean?

Ongoing means continuing or still in progress so it means continuing cost.

4  Why couldn’t the students just sell the honey they collected?

According Zealand law honey that’s sold to the public needed to be processed in a commercial kitchen

5  What are varroa treatment strips for?

They get rid of mites because of the contain miticides their chemicals that kill mites and doesn’t harm the bee’s

6  What is a problem with beehives over winter and what can be done to help?

Over the winter there’s less pollen so the bees eat less sugar syrup but you can buy sugar to help the bees.
